Business Continuity & Resilience Specialist – Insurance

Hybrid | 6-Month Contract (Starting January 2026)

Day Rate: Up to £600pd (Outside IR35)

Looking for an experienced Business Continuity & Resilience Specialist to join an Insurance company on a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) project on an initial 6-month contract.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on BCP experience, strong cloud platform knowledge, and the ability to lead technical resilience testing with service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery workstreams.
• Review and enhance BCP/DR strategies, runbooks, and operational resilience plans.
• Conduct technical resilience testing
• Evaluate cloud provisioning and resilience capabilities (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Identify gaps across cloud infrastructure, applications, and continuity processes, proposing actionable improvements.
• Work closely with technology teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure end-to-end readiness.

Key Experience

• Strong experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Operational Resilience.
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also considered).
• Background in technical testing, including failover and service continuity testing.
• Experience working with or managing third-party service providers.
• Understanding of BCP/DR frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, or FCA Operational Resilience (desirable).
