A London insurer is looking for a DBA to support and maintain the organisation’s data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and security of all database and reporting systems.

Base Pay Range

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00

Responsibilities

  • Database Management: Manage and maintain organisational databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
  • Database Security: Monitor and maintain database access, permissions, and security controls.
  • Backup & Recovery: Ensure database backups are functioning correctly and perform ad‑hoc backups and restores as required.
  • Database Deployments: Support database releases, including running deployment scripts and contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud‑based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience maintaining online reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and system management.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across IT, Finance, Underwriting, Business Solutions, and Operations.
  • Approachable, collaborative, and supportive team member.
