KEY SKILLS
- Strong London Market / Lloyd's insurance background, with a solid grasp of insurance data (policy, claims, bordereaux, finance)
- Proven leadership of technical data teams (Data Engineers, Developers, DBA's)
- Hands-on ownership of Azure and Databricks data platforms
- Experience spanning on-prem (SQL Server) and cloud-based data technologies
- Data governance, data quality and audit readiness across enterprise data assets
- Track record delivering multiple data projects in parallel
- Strong stakeholder management with the confidence to engage at senior level
THE ROLE
Leading a small, capable team of Data Engineers, Developers and DBA's, you will take full ownership of the firm's Azure / Databricks data platform and keep a pipeline of data projects moving, while setting and enforcing the standards for governance, quality and audit readiness across enterprise data assets. This is a hands-on leadership role that needs someone who already understands how London Market data works and can bridge legacy on-prem estates with the modern cloud platform, partnering closely with underwriting, claims, finance and IT stakeholders to make sure the data is trusted, controlled and used well from the start.
