Overview
Business Analyst with London Insurance Market expertise to join a high-performing change team for a large specialty insurer. You will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of new platforms, products, and enhancements – shaping requirements, managing backlogs, and ensuring business value is delivered throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with underwriters and senior business stakeholders to understand pain points, gather requirements, and translate these into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Act as a Product Owner in agile squads where appropriate, managing and prioritising the product backlog to ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and journey mapping sessions to elicit requirements and identify business value
- Work with technical teams and solution architects to ensure feasibility and alignment with broader system architecture
- Support UAT, including test case definition, coordination, and defect resolution
- Collaborate with Change, Operations, and IT teams to ensure smooth delivery and stakeholder communication
- Maintain a strong understanding of Lloyd’s, company market, and delegated authority processes
Required Experience
- Extensive experience working in the London Insurance Market, ideally within a syndicate or carrier environment
- Proven background as a Business Analyst, with a strong grasp of policy lifecycle, underwriting, and risk data
- Demonstrable experience acting as a Product Owner, ideally in agile/iterative delivery models
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills – especially working with underwriters and underwriting operations
- Skilled in writing Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
- Familiar with digital transformation, data-driven solutions, and system migration or integration projects
