Surfacing Contract Manager – Highways – Penrith £55,000 – £58,000 Plus bonus Plus Company Car

Join Heidelberg Materials Contracting and take the lead in delivering high-quality carriageway resurfacing contracts with associated civils activities. We’re looking for a proactive and experiencedSurfacing Contract Managerto oversee the safe, efficient, and defect-free delivery of our highways schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of resurfacing contracts, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance for employees and supply chain partners, ensuring all work adheres to company policies and legal standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to support repeat business and position Heidelberg Materials as a preferred supplier.
  • Engage in early contractor involvement to optimise construction methodology and reduce third-party interface.
  • Collaborate with estimating teams to build accurate target costs and support site teams in achieving and exceeding contract margins.
  • Ensure accurate site records are maintained to support commercial teams in securing full contract value and managing variations.
