  • Establish repeatable patterns for AI-assisted and AI-native software development
  • Partner with engineering leadership to embed AI into everyday engineering practices
  • Work Hands-On with Engineering Teams
  • Operate as a player-coach alongside developers, architects, and technical leaders
  • Implement and optimize tools such as Git Hub Copilot Enterprise, Claude Code, and emerging AI engineering platforms
  • Build reference implementations, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts that showcase best practices
  • Identify opportunities to automate engineering activities across the software lifecycle
  • Accelerate AI Adoption Across the Organisation
  • Foster an AI-first mindset within engineering teams
  • Coach engineers on the transition from AI-assisted development to AI-native engineering
  • Create training programs, playbooks, frameworks, and enablement materials

  • Establish Engineering Standards & Governance
  • Define engineering guardrails for responsible AI adoption

• Develop best practices around

  • Measure and Scale Success

• Define and monitor key transformation KPIs, including

  • AI tool adoption rates
  • Developer productivity improvements
  • Development cycle time reduction
  • Software quality metrics
  • Use measurable outcomes to continuously improve tooling, processes, and ways of working

What You Bring

  • Experience implementing AI-first or AI-native engineering models
  • Proven experience leading engineering transformation initiatives at scale
  • Strong software engineering background with hands-on technical credibility
  • Practical experience with AI-powered development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms
  • Deep understanding of modern engineering practices including Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, cloud-native architectures, and platform engineering
  • Experience driving change, influencing stakeholders, and introducing new engineering ways of working
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage engineers, architects, and executive leadership alike
  • Solid understanding of large language models (LLMs), AI capabilities, and their practical application within software development
  • Nice to Have
  • Background within enterprise Saa S, OSS/BSS, telecom, media, or large-scale software environments
  • Experience developing engineering frameworks, operating models, or transformation programs
  • Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, and secure software development practices
  • What Makes You Successful

You are someone who

  • Thrives on transforming how teams build software
  • Leads through action, not Power Point
  • Combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Questions existing practices and continuously seeks better ways of working
  • Focuses on outcomes and measurable impact
  • Inspires teams to embrace change rather than resist it
  • Sees AI not as a tool, but as a new operating model for engineering

Why Join Hansen?

How to prepare for a job interview at Hansen Technologies

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Hansen Technologies uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
