Start up reinsurance and alternative risk transfer entity is seeking a developer from either an actuarial or catastrophe modeller background.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing insurance pricing or calculation engines, perhaps with experience of developing the front end user interface.

No specific languages are required as a must have, but you must have a good idea of cloud-based deployment.

There is no requirement for specific actuarial exams or knowledge of any specific hazards, although the client is looking for someone who has worked in the (re) insurance industry.

You will be one of the leads in developing a pricing engine for reinsurance and insurance linked securities (ILS) risks.

The role would be suitable for an ILS analyst, provided they meet the programming criteria above.
