We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Services Consultancy Engagement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT consultancy, a proven track record of managing client engagements in UK Government Public Sector, and exceptional communication and leadership skills. Although most of the work is based at home, there will be travel to client sites throughout the UK as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Project Management: Define and agree project deliverables and milestones. Oversee the delivery of multiple IT consultancy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of consultancy services.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively address challenges, resolve issues, and implement solutions.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources appropriately to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients on project status and performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT consultancy. Preferably with experience of delivering digital projects within Central Government.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field - or equivalent work experience through apprenticeship.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • Other: Willingness to travel as required by client engagements. Eligibility for SC security clearance if required.
