We are advising an established discretionary wealth management firm on the appointment of a new Chief Investment Officer. The firm manages multi‑asset, discretionary portfolios for HNW individuals and families from their beautiful offices in the Square Mile.

The firm is seeking an individual with the experience and maturity to assume responsibility for its investment process and to lead their very capable investment team. The Chief Investment Officer will have overall responsibility for the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio construction across its discretionary mandates. Portfolios are primarily fund‑based and multi‑asset in nature, with a strong emphasis on asset allocation, fund selection and risk management.

The role includes oversight of fund research, governance of the investment process, and ensuring portfolios remain aligned to client objectives across different market conditions & risk appetites. The ability to present investment views in a clear, balanced and credible manner is essential, particularly during periods of market uncertainty.

We are looking to speak with experienced investors who have operated at senior level within a private client / wealth management environment. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for investment decisions and explaining them to a sophisticated audience.

Success in this role depends on professionalism and sound judgement, with the ability to convey considered investment views in a measured, assured & engaging manner.

  • Significant experience in discretionary investment management for HNW clients
  • Strong background in fund‑based investing and manager research
  • Proven capability in multi‑asset portfolio construction
  • Experience leading or contributing at senior investment committee level
