Associate – Executive Search | Financial Services | London
Hanover is looking for a proactive, commercially minded Associate to join our London team and support the delivery of senior-level retained executive search mandates across the UK and Europe.
This is a hands-on search execution and candidate-generation role, working closely with senior colleagues, you will play an important role across the search lifecycle, from market mapping and candidate identification through to direct headhunting, candidate assessment, interview coordination, assignment management and client reporting.
What you’ll be doing
- Executing retained executive search mandates across financial services markets in the UK and Europe.
- Conducting detailed market mapping to identify relevant organisations, teams, functions and candidates.
- Proactively approaching and engaging senior professionals through headhunting, networking and referrals.
- Screening and assessing candidates against assignment criteria, including experience, capability, motivations and fit.
- Preparing market maps, target lists, candidate reports, progress updates and client documentation.
- Building trusted relationships with candidates and contributing market intelligence that supports successful search outcomes.
Skills and experience needed
- Experience in executive search, recruitment or a similar candidate-generation environment.
- Financial services experience or strong exposure to financial services markets, with the ability to engage credibly with senior candidates and clients.
- Confidence making direct approaches to senior professionals and creating interest in opportunities.
- Strong candidate screening, assessment and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
