We are looking for a dynamic individual dedicated to helping students succeed! We have an Autistic Support/Learning Support Teaching Assistant position available at Hanover Street Elementary effective immediately. The position provides academic support to students under the direction of a teacher, assists the teacher in managing student behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment, and performs a variety of clerical support functions. The position is school-year, full-time, 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day. Pay rate is at least £13.52 per hour minimum. Offered rate is based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

  • Must meet Highly Qualified Status with two years of post-secondary education or high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of the CAPE test, which can be taken after hire.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be cooperative, congenial and service-oriented.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to organise and handle multiple tasks.
