About the Role

Hanover is excited to be recruiting for Relief Support Workers based in our Cameron Court, Forres development.

If you have a passion for supporting people to remain independent, wish to make a difference to people’s lives, and would like to become part of our team then we would love to hear from you!

The role involves working on a rota basis covering various shifts including sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. The rota is a rolling rota to help support work/life balance and you will be working as part of our team to ensure that services are delivered in a flexible, dignified, safe and stimulating way.

About You

You will:

  • Have a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Be able to demonstrate our values: inclusion, accountability, respect, collaboration.
  • Be able to display empathy and recognise the rights of independence and choice.
  • Be willing to work towards an SVQ and registration with SSSC.
  • Be able to work flexibly and as a lone worker on site, covering a 24-hour shift pattern.
  • Be able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
  • Be required to have a full and satisfactory PVG check prior to starting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Continuously develop and adjust services to meet the changing needs of customers.
  • Work alongside your manager to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of housing management services.
  • In your manager’s absence, oversee the catering service and ensure it complies with Environmental Health regulations.
  • As a lone worker, manage the building efficiently to guarantee customer’s safety and security.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Care Strategy, supporting Hanover’s goals: Happy Customers, Desirable Homes, and a Resilient Organisation.
