About the Role: Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Mobile Cook supporting our developments in Buckie, Elgin and Forres. We are looking for a candidate who can be flexible and able to travel to these locations. The role is a permanent position offering 35 hours per week over 7 days, on a rota basis, including weekends and public holidays. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.
- Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on getting produce from local suppliers.
- Cooking, preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals as well as cakes and bakes, for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans (e.g., soft diet, diabetes, allergies).
About You:
Essential:- A genuine passion for helping people.
- Good team working skills.
- Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
- Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.
- Flexible approach to work with the ability to empathise with vulnerable adults.
- Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.
- Basic IT skills.
- UK Driving Licence.
- Completion of a satisfactory Disclosure check prior to joining.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
- A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
- Ideally, one year’s experience in a similar/equivalent role.
