Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Remuneration: £23,095 per annum (during 6-month probation period), £24,250 per annum (upon completion of successful probation)

About the Role: Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Mobile Cook supporting our developments in Buckie, Elgin and Forres. We are looking for a candidate who can be flexible and able to travel to these locations. The role is a permanent position offering 35 hours per week over 7 days, on a rota basis, including weekends and public holidays. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.
  • Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on getting produce from local suppliers.
  • Cooking, preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals as well as cakes and bakes, for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans (e.g., soft diet, diabetes, allergies).

About You:

Essential:
  • A genuine passion for helping people.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
  • Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to empathise with vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Completion of a satisfactory Disclosure check prior to joining.
Desirable:
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
  • A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
  • Ideally, one year’s experience in a similar/equivalent role.
