Remuneration: £14,693 per annum (during 6 month probation period), £15,467 (upon completion of successful probation)

About the Role

Hanover Scotland are excited to be recruiting for a fixed-term, part-time Home Support Worker to provide maternity cover at our Chandlers Court development in Elgin. Our Home Support Workers provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs including physically disabled, learning disabilities, older adults and vulnerable adults. Our team enable tenants to live as independently as they are able in their own homes with a responsive service adapted to individual care plans. This role will entail working weekends and public holidays, so we are looking for the successful candidate to be flexible and able to support our rota patterns.

About You

  • Essential
    • A genuine passion for helping people.
    • Able to demonstrate Hanover values - inclusion, accountability, respect, collaboration.
    • Ability to relate to people with empathy and recognise their right of choice and independence.
    • Willing to work towards an SVQ and registration with SSSC.
    • Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker on site, covering a 24-hour shift pattern.
    • Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
    • Completion of a satisfactory PVG check prior to joining.
  • Desirable
    • Experience in a care or housing setting.
    • SVQ level 2 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ3.
    • Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with regulatory and statutory codes and practices.
