Working Hours: Various hours available

Remuneration: £12.69 - £13.32 per hour

About the Role

Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Relief Cook supporting our developments in Buckie, Elgin and Forres. We are looking for a candidate who can be flexible and able to travel to these locations. You will be cooking and preparing healthy and nutritional meals for our customers as well as cakes and bakes. Maintaining the kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations. Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on getting produce from local suppliers. This role is development based, preparing and serving nutritious meals for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans (e.g. soft diet, diabetes, allergies).

About You

  • Essential:
  • Genuine passion for helping people.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to empathise with vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.
  • Completion of a satisfactory Disclosure check prior to joining.
  • Desirable:
    • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
    • A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
    • Ideally, one year’s experience in a similar/equivalent role.
