We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Account Executive to join our Healthcare Communications team, joining a team of experts in product PR, patient advocacy, crisis management, disease awareness, corporate communications and media relations. The Account Executive provides high-quality public relations services to Hanover’s existing healthcare clients, together with timely research and administrative support for new business activity. The Account Executive is also responsible for supporting media outreach, providing administrative support for client meetings, and establishing demonstrably credible working relationships with clients, where appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Stay abreast of the media, with the goal of identifying opportunities for coverage
- Draft high quality materials for client review
- Maintain relevant records of target stakeholder and audience groups relevant to your clients and sectors
- Deliver specifically assigned areas of each discrete/new project to agreed timescales, on budget and to a high quality
- Conduct value-add research and produce high quality draft intelligence reports for existing clients and sector specific new business meetings
- Draft client meeting agendas and effective action notes arising from internal account meetings and sector specific new business meetings, together with efficient maintenance of new business databases
- Contribute towards selected new business pitches as part of the wider team
Requirements
- Previous experience in a relevant PR and communications position from either a public relations consultancy or in-house communications team
- Good knowledge and understanding of healthcare communications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised
- Effective time management and strong organisational skills
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrable interest in media, news and current affairs
