Hannett Hale is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm, nurturing, and well-regarded primary school in Workington with a dedicated Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). We are seeking an experienced and compassionate teacher to support pupils with a range of SEND needs within the SRP unit. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a highly supportive school community.

About the Role

  • Teaching and supporting a small group of pupils within the SRP, all of whom have identified SEND needs and EHCPs
  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons and interventions that meet individual learning targets
  • Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive environment that supports emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and mainstream teachers to ensure continuity and progress
  • Supporting pupils to access mainstream lessons where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP reviews

This is a full-time role starting ASAP until July, with the potential for further opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally within an SRP, resource base, or specialist setting
  • A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Confidence in delivering personalised learning and behaviour support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting pupils with complex needs
