PRIMARY PURPOSE
As a Hannaford To Go Shopper, you represent the customer, providing a shopping experience comparable or superior to in-store shopping. Your responsibilities include selecting fresh items, making substitutions, checking code dates, and ensuring high-quality service. Typical duties include:
- Greeting customers and offering prompt, courteous assistance.
- Matching items from the online shopping list accurately.
- Shopping multiple customer orders simultaneously using designated tools.
- Substituting items upon customer request.
- Assisting customers at the pickup location.
- Recognising various produce types and varieties.
- Bagging or packaging merchandise per company policies.
- Labeling and storing items for customer pickup.
- Meeting physical requirements of the role, with or without accommodations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a neat personal appearance.
- Handle return-to-stock items promptly, especially perishables.
- Support safety standards and report equipment issues.
- Keep work area safe and debris-free.
- Recognise and differentiate produce varieties.
- Record price discrepancies and 'not on file' items.
- Secure shopping devices when unattended.
- Assist with transporting and loading orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
