Groundworkers
The contract will be on and off for a total of 3 years, so there will be the opportunity for future work after the initial phase. We are looking for experienced gangs and individuals, with a background in groundworks, for the following roles:
- Groundworkers
- Machine operators
- Steel Fixers
Experience
- Pipe Laying: 1 year (preferred)
- Steel fixing: 1 year (preferred)
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- Dumper: 1 year (preferred)
- Roller: 1 year (preferred)
- 360 Operator: 1 year (preferred)
- Groundworker: 1 year (preferred)
- Drainage: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification
- Right to Work in the UK (without company sponsorship) (required)
- DBS Enhanced (preferred)
- CPCS /NPORS Card (required)
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of setting out and levels.
- Surveys.
- Checking drawings and quantities.
- Produce cut and fill reports.
- Taking off materials.
- Working with a number of gangs.
- Liaising with any consultants and/or sub-contractors engaged in the project.
Key Skills
- Highly Desirable: Hardworking / timekeeping and reliability.
- Prioritising work areas / gangs.
- Competent using total stations and GPS.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A commercial understanding of budgets and timelines for projects.
- Good communication skills at all levels to enable you to work with clients, construction managers, subcontractors etc.
- Technical know-how.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of IT knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation.
