Responsibilities:

Manage your own client portfolio of SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders

Prepare and review financial statements, accounts, tax returns, and management reports

Provide strategic business and tax advice, including cash flow, planning, and growth support

Build strong client relationships, acting as the first point of contact for queries

Mentor, supervise, and review the work of junior team members

Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and the latest tax legislation

Contribute to internal improvements and firm-wide initiatives such as staff training and business development
About You:

ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) – Essential

Experience in accountancy practice, managing a client portfolio –Essential

Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and tax compliance

Proficient with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing junior staff

Excellent communication and client-facing skills able to build trusted relationships

Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in identifying opportunities to add value
