Everyone is welcome at Handshake. We know diverse teams build better products and we are committed to creating an inclusive culture built on a foundation of respect for all individuals. We strongly encourage candidates from non-traditional backgrounds, historically marginalized or underrepresented groups to apply. If you are not sure that you’re 100% qualified, but up for the challenge - we want you to apply. We believe skills are transferable and passion for our mission goes a long way.

Requirements:

  • Background in early talent, campus recruiting, or HR/recruiting tech - you understand how employers think about hiring students and new grads (non-negotiable).
  • 4+ years in Customer Success or Account Management, managing enterprise accounts.
  • Proven track record owning renewals and commercial outcomes - upsell, expansion, churn prevention.
  • Confident communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Data-literate - you pull insight from numbers and use it to drive decisions and customer conversations.
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal.
  • Highly organised - you can hold a large, complex book and know where every account stands at all times.
  • You operate independently and take initiative without waiting to be managed.
  • You've built process, not just followed it, and you move fast.

What the job involves:

Handshake has been in EMEA for a couple of years. We know this market, we have customers here, and we’re serious about it. What's changing is the product: we’re consolidating from separate US and Europe platforms into a single global product which means our EMEA customers are about to get access to the full power of what Handshake has built. For the right person, that’s a huge commercial opportunity. You’ll be taking over accounts at a time of change, but it’s also exactly the moment you have the most to offer them.

The team here runs lean and fast - startup energy inside a company that has already won at scale. The playbook is still being written, and part of this job is writing it. If that sounds like an opportunity rather than a concern, keep reading.

Reporting to the Director of Success & Operations, you’ll own a portfolio of employer partners, helping them achieve their hiring goals, drive adoption across recruiting teams, and realise ongoing value from Handshake. You’ll be both strategic advisor and hands-on operator: holding senior relationships, navigating commercial conversations, and keeping accounts healthy and growing. You’ll also be arriving at the right moment - as we bring our global product together, the work you do in EMEA will directly shape how Handshake’s employer experience scales internationally.

Drive renewals, upsell, and cross-sell - you’re accountable for commercial outcomes, not just relationship health. Own the end-to-end relationship with a book of enterprise employer accounts, across geographies, industries, and seniority levels. Build trust fast with executives and become their go-to partner on early talent strategy. Get deep on each account so you can position Handshake’s value against their real business problems - not a template pitch. Use data to tell compelling stories, to customers and internally. Synthesise customer feedback and surface insights that shape how we build and go to market. Work closely with Sales, Support, Marketing, Insights, and Product to deliver for your customers. Run your book autonomously - we’ll hold you to outcomes, not activity.

In 90 days you’ve met every account, assessed renewal risk, and started building trust with your partners and teammates. In a year, NRR is at or above benchmark, you’ve surfaced expansion deals, and your customers are referenceable. Outstanding means they treat you as a strategic partner, not a vendor contact, and you’re actively helping define how the EMEA team operates as Handshake brings its global product to life.
