We are actively hiring for professional and experienced Kitchen Assistants to join our team. We have a full-time role available with 35 hrs/week. This role requires working with flexibility as per ROTA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the food preparation, cooking, and serving of meals.
  • Washing up after meals.
  • Ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.
  • Carrying out overall cleaning of the kitchen area and, where appropriate, the dining areas.
  • Ensuring statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Attending mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as required.
  • Reporting immediately to the Home Manager or Person in Charge any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self, or another.
  • Understanding and ensuring the implementation of the Health and Safety policy.
  • Reporting any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment, or potential hazards.
  • Ensuring that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.
  • Notifying the Home Manager or Person in Charge of your inability to report for duty and on your return from all periods of absence.
  • Adhering to all Company policies and procedures within defined timescales.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and well maintained.
  • Carrying out any other tasks that are reasonably assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Team player.
  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
  • Experience of food preparation for the relevant Client group.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • High standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Highly organised.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and competence.
