We are currently seeking Domestic staff to join our team. This is a PT role with 30 hrs/week. The role requires flexibility to work over 5 days early or backshift from 9.00am to 14.00, 14.00 to 19.00; must be willing to do either early or back shift.
Responsibilities:
- Empty waste bins and wipe out
- Vacuum throughout
- Shake out cushions
- Clean taps and sinks
- Toothbrush holders
- Polish all mirrors
- Clean all pipework in lavatories
- Dust handrails and radiators
- Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs)
- Wash out metal wastepaper bins
- Dust and polish furniture and windowsills
- Shampoo carpets as requested by Home Manager
- Dust light bulbs and fittings
- Curtain rails
- Pictures
- Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required
- Participate in Staff and Client meetings as required
- Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required
- Maintain professional knowledge and competence
- Adhere to the Care home's disposal of waste policy
- Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care home’s Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures
- Report any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard to the Home Manager, or the Handyperson; ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
- Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
Qualifications and Skills:
- Team player
- Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
- Care for the Elderly experience
