Overview

We are actively hiring a professional and experienced Registered Nurse to join our night team.

This care home is located in Nailsea, Somerset.

This role is 36hrs/week as per rota. Flexibility to work as per rota is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Promote independence and improve mobility in the elderly and dementia residents.
  • Lead, motivate and mentor the staff team, delivering guidance, training and development opportunities to ensure safe practices and compliance with standards.
  • Focus on both physical ailments associated with aging and mental impairments.
  • Identify clients’ care requirements by establishing personal rapport with residents and relevant persons.
  • Carry out regular checks on clients at intervals determined by the Home Manager.
  • Ensure clients’ Care Plans are completed, maintained and in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policy.
  • Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
  • Ensure correct ordering, storage and administration of drugs in accordance with clients’ requirements and medical or pharmaceutical agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each client within the care home has an individualized Care Plan that is reviewed.
  • Provide a clear and concise handover report to all relevant staff members at the end of each shift.
  • Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in and promote a quality culture through the company's Quality Assurance Systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified and registered with the NMC as RGN, RMN, or RNLD.
  • Ideal experience in an elderly and dementia care environment.
  • Confidence in all areas of care planning and delivery.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift pattern.
  • Satisfactory CRB/DBS checks.
  • 28 days holiday (FTE) including bank holidays.
  • Competitive pay: £24.51 per hour plus £2.00 enhanced rate for hours worked above FT contracted as per policy.
