We are currently recruiting for a Casual Bartender at New Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. New Hall Hotel & Spa is a stunning and unique hotel, dating back to the 13th Century and steeped in history and a fine example of medieval architecture. At 800 years old, this luxurious hotel has a long history of delivering exceptional hospitality to discerning guests. Replete with contemporary comforts, our spa and health club offers an oasis of relaxation complemented by our award-winning 2AA Rosette restaurant and extensive meetings and events operation, which is a popular choice for weddings, bespoke events and conferences.
About the Role
The role of a Bartender involves assisting the team in ensuring delivery of the bar operations to Hand Picked Hotels standards, ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, creating and serving a variety of bar snacks and beverages.
- Seeking opportunities for creativity and upselling.
- Maintaining a good level of knowledge regarding food/drink menu items and availability across all areas including the bar and restaurant.
- Working towards the achievement of departmental goals, contributing ideas and being open to trying new ways of working.
- Taking personal ownership, operating within role parameters.
- Communicating and delegating in line with business levels and events within the hotel.

About you
To be considered for this role you will have previous bartending experience within a quality-driven environment. You will be enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities, adopting a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the hotel as business and guest needs dictate. A high level of emotional intelligence is essential, enabling you to anticipate our guests' needs and ensure they receive a Hand Picked experience. You must demonstrate how you would deliver our guest experience standards at Hand Picked Hotels, going above and beyond to ensure guests have a high-quality, personalised, and magical experience that they remember, recommend, and return to time and time again.
