Our client, a multinational £10m turnover fashion group based in London, is looking for an Xero competent Finance & Administration Officer to join their team. This is a broad, hands-on role combining office administration, customer and order coordination, and day-to-day accounts support. Working closely with the manufacturing, operations and management teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly while ensuring accurate and timely financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office administration and act as a first point of contact for customers, suppliers and visitors
- Manage incoming telephone and email enquiries and support internal communications
- Prepare and process customer orders, quotations and related documentation
- Coordinate deliveries, transport bookings and order amendments across the business
- Maintain accurate customer, product and order records
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes and send customer statements
- Allocate customer receipts and follow up outstanding or overdue accounts
- Process supplier invoices and supporting documentation
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
- Complete daily bank and transaction reconciliations
- Maintain accurate cash and financial records
- Assist with monthly payroll administration and annual leave records
- Support VAT preparation, cash-flow monitoring and management reporting
- Maintain product, pricing and operational information across internal systems
- Produce sales and performance information to support management decision-making
- Provide general administrative support to the Directors and wider management team
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in an office coordination, administration, accounts assistant or similar role
- Hands-on bookkeeping or accounts administration experience
- Good working knowledge of Xero is highly desirable
- Experience using Dext would be advantageous
- Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
- Confident handling invoices, reconciliations and customer/supplier accounts
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Able to prioritise effectively and work accurately in a busy environment
