Our client, a multinational manufacturing group is seeking an experienced SAP Business Expert to join their team. This role will act as a key point of contact between business users and technical SAP support teams, ensuring the effective management, optimisation, and governance of SAP systems across the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments, supporting system improvements, maintaining data integrity, and driving best practice across SAP processes.
Responsibilities:
- Administer SAP user access, including the creation, maintenance, and archiving of users through the GRC10 system.
- Grant and manage access for new starters, ensuring appropriate roles and environments while minimising audit conflicts.
- Coordinate temporary access for short-term cover and archive leavers to prevent unnecessary licence costs.
- Support and develop the Key User network, providing guidance and training to enable them to support local teams effectively.
- Promote best practice across Key Users and business units while ensuring appropriate use of support ticket processes.
- Maintain the integrity of SAP master data, including customers, vendors, materials, plants, depots, and shipping points.
- Manage business-related master data updates such as customer service representative numbers and VAT-related entries in collaboration with finance teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for SAP Key User queries, providing guidance on general system issues and coordinating support tickets where required.
- Liaise with SAP support teams to track progress on issues and assist with testing and implementation of solutions.
- Support the creation and management of SAP evolution tickets, including gathering business requirements, coordinating testing, and monitoring project progress.
- Review costs associated with system changes, ensuring alignment with budgets and business value.
- Produce regular housekeeping reports to ensure operational accuracy, including monitoring sales invoicing, order management, and electronic invoicing processes.
- Maintain and develop a centralised documentation repository for SAP processes, guidance, and system activities.
Role Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP systems and multiple SAP modules.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical SAP solutions and processes.
- Experience supporting SAP users, including access management and issue resolution.
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering effective support to business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting SAP-related projects or system implementations is desirable.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain structured system processes.
- Excellent communication, training, and coaching skills.
- Fluent English required; French language skills would be advantageous.
