Our client is a rapidly growing green energy group with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. Operating within a fast‑paced and evolving sector, the business is focused on delivering sustainable energy solutions and driving long‑term environmental impact. Due to increased reporting requirements and ongoing growth, they are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their London‑based finance team on an initial 3‑month fixed‑term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly financial reporting and close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year‑end financial statements
- Assist with the external audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing supporting documentation
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Support the preparation of management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
- Assist with process improvements across finance operations and reporting procedures
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities where required
- Work closely with the wider finance team to manage ad hoc reporting and project work
- Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities
Candidate Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Open to candidates from either industry or audit backgrounds
- Previous experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts, or audit support
- Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes
- Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced environment and manage competing deadlines
- Prior exposure to the energy, renewables, infrastructure, or related sectors would be advantageous but not essential
