Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 + discretionary bonus & benefits package

Our client is a growing property development and real estate group with a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use assets across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their Leeds-based finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support financial reporting, month-end processes, and business partnering activities across the group.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Support the external audit process and liaise with advisers
  • Produce financial commentary and variance analysis for stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
  • Trained within a Big 4 or Top 20 accountancy practice with an external audit background
  • Experience gained within industry following qualification would be advantageous
  • Property development, real estate, construction, or related sector experience would be beneficial
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
