The company:
Our client, a leading Real Estate/Housing group, is seeking a technically adept, Big Four/Top 10 audit trained Group Accountant to join their growing finance team in Leeds.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in group consolidation process and the production of quarterly and annual statutory accounts under IFRS.
- Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.
- Assisting with group budgeting and forecasting.
- Preparation of additional supporting schedules for reviews and providing explanations and analysis as required to support key stakeholders.
- Maintenance and quarterly uploading of the Company’s lease, depreciation, deferred charges, interest accruals and other accounting schedules as required.
- Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of file notes and accounting memos for non-routine commercial transactions. (depending on experience)
Role Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 3 years experience in external audit.
- Relevant industry (Real Estate/Housing/Construction) knowledge is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
