Our client is a globally recognised shipping group headquartered in Central London, with a diverse portfolio across maritime logistics, trading, and international operations. Due to continued growth, the business is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.

- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Prepare and execute weekly and monthly payment runs across multiple entities and currencies
- Take ownership of the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and ledger reviews
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts
- Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls
- Support audits by providing relevant documentation and analysis
Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll, ideally within a fast-paced, international environment
Strong understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
Shipping, oil & gas or related sector experience is desirable but not essential
Studying towards or interested in pursuing ACCA or CIMA (study support provided)
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
