The company:
Our client, a multinational shipping group headquartered in London, is seeking a technically adept, Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team in London.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in group consolidation process and the production of quarterly and annual statutory accounts under IFRS
- Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.
- Assisting with group budgeting and forecasting
- Preparation of additional supporting schedules for reviews and providing explanations and analysis as required to support key stakeholders.
- Maintenance and quarterly uploading of the Company’s lease, depreciation, deferred charges, interest accruals and other accounting schedules as required.
- Supporting VAT return preparation and submission across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations
- Assisting with corporate tax computations and working with external advisors during tax filings and audits
- Monitoring and managing group cash flow, intercompany funding, and banking relationships
- Supporting treasury operations including FX exposure management, liquidity forecasting, and covenant compliance
Role Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent)
- Top 10/20 audit experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines
