The company:
Our client is a FTSE 250 listed global Maritime group headquartered in London. They are currently hiring a Global Tax Specialist to join their high performing finance team based in central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with existing and upcoming tax regulations (including BEPS Pillar 2)
- Tax Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all global and local tax returns
- Tax Planning: Develop, implement and maintain effective tax strategies to optimise the company's global tax position.
- Transfer Pricing: Manage transfer pricing documentation and support inter-company transactions in line with international tax laws.
- Tax Audits: Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors during international tax audits and inquiries (if any).
- Support with analysis and execution of international tax projects
- Monitor and assist in the implementation of transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions
- Team effectively with internal accounting and treasury colleagues to support the implementation of finance system improvements as they relate to tax
Candidate Requirements:
- Big 4/Top 10 background is preferred, but not essential
- A good understanding of the current international tax landscape
- Knowledge of current tax legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
