Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 + discretionary bonus & benefits package
Our client is a real estate group with a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use assets across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their Leeds-based finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support financial reporting, month-end processes, and business partnering activities across the group.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Support the external audit process and liaise with advisers
- Produce financial commentary and variance analysis for stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
- Trained within a Big 4 or Top 20/50 accountancy practice with an external audit background
- Experience gained within industry following qualification would be advantageous
- Property development, real estate, construction, or related sector experience would be beneficial
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
