Founded by an experienced Chartered Certified Accountant, we bring genuine industry knowledge to recruitment. We understand the technical demands of the roles we fill, but we also recognise that long-term success depends on culture, ambition and personal fit. Our clients range from major listed organisations and established professional-services firms to entrepreneurial and fast-growing businesses. We recruit across all levels, from CFO's and FD's through ti accounts assistants, with particular strength in technical accounting, financial reporting, audit, energy, shipping, oil and gas, and real estate. We are now looking for an accomplished Recruitment Director to help lead the next phase of our growth. The Opportunity This is a senior, hands-on position with genuine influence over the direction of the business. Working alongside the existing directors, you will take responsibility for growing revenue, developing the recruitment team and strengthening Handpicked Recruitment’s position within the finance and accountancy market. You will inherit an established brand, an extensive candidate network and strong client relationships. Your role will be to build on these foundations—creating new opportunities while protecting the personal, knowledgeable service for which Handpicked Recruitment is known. Your Responsibilities You will: Develop and deliver a clear commercial growth strategy Lead, coach and expand a high-performing recruitment team Grow existing client relationships and secure new business Build senior relationships with finance leaders, hiring managers and professional-services firms Identify opportunities to expand established markets and develop complementary finance specialisms Maintain an active presence in key accounts and senior-level searches
