Title: Graduate Customer Accounts Specialist
Location: Islington – 100% Office Based
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000
Our client, a multinational fashion group based in London, is looking for a confident and commercially minded Graduate Customer Accounts Specialist to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in customer accounts, finance and commercial administration within an international business. Working closely with customers, finance, operations and management, the successful candidate will support customer accounts, order administration, invoicing and day-to-day financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding accounts, orders and payment queries
- Manage incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email
- Prepare quotations and process customer orders accurately
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing and order information across internal systems
- Follow up quotations, orders and customer enquiries
- Raise sales invoices, credit notes and customer statements
- Allocate customer receipts and ensure payments are matched correctly
- Follow up outstanding and overdue customer accounts
- Investigate unidentified or unmatched customer payments
- Obtain remittance advice and resolve payment discrepancies
- Assist with customer account and transaction reconciliations
- Support the processing of supplier invoices and supporting documentation
- Assist with daily reconciliation of incoming and outgoing transactions
- Maintain accurate financial and customer records
- Support management with sales, accounts and performance information
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve customer, order and account queries
- Support seasonal product launches, pricing updates and customer information
- Provide general customer accounts and administrative support to the wider business
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Management or another relevant discipline
- Strong interest in developing a career within customer accounts, finance or commercial operations
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Confident working with numbers and financial information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Confident communicating with customers and internal teams
- Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn
- Previous customer service, finance, accounts or administrative experience through an internship, placement or part-time role would be advantageous
- Experience using Xero or another accounting system would be advantageous
- Experience within fashion, retail, wholesale or another customer-led environment would be beneficial
