We are currently recruiting for a Head Housekeeper at Ettington Park Hotel, Stratford upon Avon, part of Hand Picked Hotels. The only AA 4 Red Star hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, Ettington Park is renowned as one of the finest hotels in Warwickshire. Set within 40 acres of luscious parkland in a verdant valley with the river Stour meandering through it, the spectacular country house boasts 47 characterful bedrooms and the finest seasonal cuisine served in its 2AA Rosette restaurant. Ettington Park has gained an enviable reputation for offering one of the finest afternoon teas in Stratford-upon-Avon, while many couples have chosen its spectacular grounds as a magical backdrop for their perfect wedding.

As the Head Housekeeper, you will lead by example and ensure that the Housekeeping Team are motivated and inspired to consistently deliver exceptional service, putting the guest at the heart of all activities. The role of Head Housekeeper will involve:

  • Recruiting, training and coaching a highly motivated team who can surprise and delight our guests going above and beyond at every opportunity.
  • Monitoring and improving delivery of company brand standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Making clear, confident decisions, consulting with others where needed to ensure you all reach the same goals.
  • Having a good understanding of business financials including labour costs, stock control, forecasting and budgets.

To be considered for this role of Head Housekeeper you will have current hotel Housekeeping management experience within a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel. Maintaining extremely high standards of cleanliness and an eye for detail, noticing things others don’t will be your passion and motivation. You will have:

  • Proven experience of training and coaching colleagues, enjoying motivating others to be their best.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, busy environment and having a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent rapport-building skills with colleagues and guests.
  • A professional, organised and friendly approach, able to anticipate our guests' needs and create memories.

Our Benefits include:

  • A competitive salary package of £34,000 per year, plus a share of service charge.
  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
