We have been retained by a key client who are a specialist Capital Equipment manufacturer to recruit a Senior Application Engineer. This well established manufacturing business is entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion and is seeking an experienced engineering professional to play a pivotal role in supporting both existing and new business opportunities.
The Senior Application Engineer will be responsible for driving commercial success through the preparation of high quality technical and commercial proposals, working closely with customers to develop tailored engineering solutions. The role will act as a key interface between engineering, sales, and customers, ensuring technically robust and commercially competitive solutions are delivered.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware individual looking to join a growing organisation with ambitious plans and a strong reputation within the industry. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the following:
- Working with customers to understand their specific technical requirements
- Preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals
- Collaborating with engineering, sales and project teams to develop accurate solutions
- Supporting with technical and commercial queries
- Reviewing specifications, drawings and tender documents
- Ensuring proposals are delivered on time and aligned with customer requirements
- Supporting the sales team in securing orders and converting opportunities
- Contributing to continuous improvement of proposal processes and documentation
You will have experience in preparing quotations or proposals and be confident interpreting technical requirements. You will be proactive, an excellent communicator and looking to further develop your career within a growing organisation.
