Head of Operations in Oldham

We are seeking a Head of Operations to support future growth of a well-established SME manufacturer in the North West of England. The successful candidate will report to the Director and will be responsible for establishing and sustaining operational excellence across Production and Planning.

Role Responsibilities

• Drive and improve operational performance to meet strategic goals.
• Implement and sustain lean process improvements at a practical and strategic level.
• Provide overall leadership across Production and Planning.
• Establish, monitor, and improve core KPIs.
• Improve overall efficiencies of the business with a focus on OTIF.
• Develop and mentor core team members.
• Ensure employees are engaged and motivated.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current operations or manufacturing leader within a quality-driven manufacturer.
• Experience improving organisational performance in an engineering-focused business.
• Proven track record of improving OTIF through employee engagement and development.
• Lean-focused, able to explain and implement lean at a practical level.
• Open, honest, transparent, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
