Handley James are currently working with a specialist manufacturer and installer of capital equipment. This organisation has a fantastic reputation and is currently experiencing a growth trajectory. As a result of this, they are now looking to recruit a Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proven and now looking to progress and develop their career further.
As a Design Engineer, you will take full responsibility for new and existing design projects. You will be responsible for:
- Managing multiple design projects ranging from £100k to circa £10 million
- Working cross-functionally with manufacturing on both new and existing product ranges
- Design for manufacture and design for assembly
- 3D design and development
- Product data management
- Producing Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
- Producing PF, GA’s and P&ID’s
- Managing design and engineering design changes
You will be a self-starter and have a very hands-on approach from a key person who will help build the department and the processes within it. You will be familiar with building and developing internal and external relationships and be an advocate for both the manufacture and the customer.
