We have been retained by a specialist manufacturing company based in the Greater Manchester area to source a SHEQ Manager to establish and drive the overall Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality strategy for the business.
A fantastic opportunity to implement and lead improvements across a growing SME manufacturer that is now part of a larger group.
Heading up the SHEQ function, you will establish an effective strategy to improve safety performance, compliance, environmental standards and maintain oversight of the company's quality management systems:
- Deliver a Safety, Health and Environmental improvement programme across all aspects of the business.
- Establish and embed best practice in health, safety and environmental management across all departments.
- Develop effective policies, procedures, training programmes and management systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Establish a proactive culture around accountability, engagement and personal responsibility, placing health and safety at the forefront of the organisation.
- Working cross functionally, as a key member of the SMT, supporting and facilitating the continued growth of the business whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, environmental compliance and quality governance.
- Provide strategic oversight of the Quality Management System, ensuring standards are maintained and supporting the wider business on quality related initiatives where required.
An experienced SHEQ professional, you will have experience in developing and implementing Safety, Health and Environmental strategies within a manufacturing environment, with an appreciation of quality management systems.
You will be proactive, engaging and credible, with a proven ability to lead or play an integral role in driving cultural change.
Experience in developing behavioural safety programmes, environmental initiatives and achieving improvements.
Exposure to maintaining ISO management systems and overseeing quality processes would be advantageous, although the primary focus of the role is Health, Safety and Environmental excellence.
