We have been retained by one of our key clients to recruit a Shift Manager who will bring about significant improvements in their Darwen based site. Our client is a well-established and reputable manufacturer, that is part of a larger group. They are now looking for an experienced production professional to support their future growth on a rotating shift basis across days and nights. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to progress and develop their career further within a well-established organisation that is expanding and investing in growth and its staff.
Role Responsibilities
- To establish, implement and sustain best practice across all production shifts.
- Leading a multi-disciplined team on shift.
- Developing and mentoring core team members.
- Ensuring that employees are engaged and motivated.
- Driving and improving production performance to meet strategic goals.
- Implementing and sustaining lean and CI process improvements at a practical level.
- Establishing, monitoring, and improving core KPIs.
- Improving the overall efficiencies, with a focus on OEE.
Currently a production leader within a quality driven manufacturer, you will be experienced in improving production operations but in a measured and consistent way that has ‘people’ at its forefront. You will be proven in improving processes and KPI performances and will have achieved this through employee engagement and development. You will be lean focused and will be able to explain and implement lean at a practical level. You will be open, honest and transparent in terms of your core behaviours and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a shift based role where you will be required to work day shift and night shift on a rotating basis.
