Handley James are working with one of our key clients who are a manufacturer of specialist products to source a Quality Engineer for their sites in Warrington. They are looking to recruit this individual to support the improvement programmes that are being driven through the site at this point in time.

While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required. This role will report to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for improving and sustaining an approach to Quality that supports every function of the organisation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and improve quality of products
  • Maintain and improve quality systems, documentation, and compliance
  • Implement and sustain quality improvement tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA…) across the business
  • Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Controlling internal and external company Quality activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver robust and repeatable quality
  • Deliver a successful change management implementation
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a structured approach to quality is executed and sustained

As a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Quality leader within a manufacturer, you will be engaging, passionate and able to influence. You will be proven in implementing or sustaining change, whilst being collaborative and working cross functionally with others to achieve a goal. There will be challenges along this continuous improvement journey, so it is vital that you are pragmatic and positive.
