The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our Despatch team. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking customer orders (involving some heavy lifting – full manual handling training provided)
- Packing orders safely and efficiently
- Processing shipments using courier software and online portals
- Operating and monitoring the weight testing machine
- Using Sage 200 software (training provided if required)
- Liaising with internal departments via phone and email
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the Despatch department
- Keeping your workstation clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards
- Following all health and safety guidelines and reporting any concerns
- Wearing appropriate PPE and uniform at all times
- Carrying out any additional tasks to support the team and wider business
