We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Specialist to join our National Sales Team looking after our expanding range of non-stairlift products, such as Through the Floor Lifts (TFL), Platform Lifts and RFP. The role will be responsible for managing and converting customer enquiries and formal requests for proposals into confirmed orders. You will oversee the full customer journey from receiving the initial enquiry or RFP through consultation, specification, technical clarification, quotation, and order placement, ensuring a high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused experience throughout.

In addition, the role plays a key part in developing and maintaining relationships with architects, builders, developers, and other construction professionals to support residential and commercial project opportunities, including tendered and framework prospects, while promoting Savaria lift solutions through industry events and roadshows.

Key responsibilities:
  • Liaise with architects, builders, developers, consultants, and other construction professionals to promote Savaria products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to generate sales opportunities
  • Provide early-stage technical and product input to support RFPs, tenders etc
  • Identify and develop new partnership and framework opportunities within the construction and property sectors
  • Be a brand ambassador, always representing the company professionally
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and roadshows
  • Deliver professional product demonstrations and presentations
  • Support pre-order issue and complaint resolution where necessary
  • Ensure full understanding of product options, compliance requirements, installation constraints, and programme implications
  • Maintain proactive communication throughout sales processes to build confidence
  • Qualify inbound enquiries and RFPs to understand scope, budget, technical constraints, timelines, and evaluation criteria
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and technical consultations where required
  • Recommend appropriate TFL, home lift, VPL, or IPL solutions based on feasibility, compliance, and customer or tender requirements
  • Maintain strong technical product knowledge
  • Ensure all proposed solutions meet relevant regulations and standards
Skills and experience:
  • Successful experience in selling / promoting similar products
  • Experience managing bids and tender processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident managing multiple enquiries and RFP deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working on commercial and/or residential projects
  • Full UK driving license with a safe driving record
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations relating to lifts, platform lifts, or home adaptations
  • Experience with public-sector procurement or framework tenders
  • Experience working with elderly or mobility-impaired customers
  • Background in home improvements, accessibility, or construction-related sales

As this role is nationally based and requires daily travel, a driving license is essential. A Company vehicle is provided.
