For experienced Payments, Merchant Services, Acquiring and EPOS sales professionals only. This is not an entry-level field sales position. We are specifically looking for individuals with proven experience selling within the payments, merchant services, acquiring or fintech sectors. Candidates without relevant industry experience are unlikely to possess the product knowledge, commercial understanding and sales approach required to succeed in this role.

About the Role:

Are you a high-performing, professional salesperson who can consistently deliver revenue and commercial value, not just activity? At Handepay, part of PayPoint Group, we are building a high-quality Field Sales team focused on sustainable revenue, multi-product selling, and strong commercial standards. We are looking for high-performing payments and merchant services sales professionals who have a proven track record of winning and developing business within the SME market. This role is best suited to individuals who already understand the payments ecosystem, can confidently discuss acquiring, terminal solutions, eCommerce payments and value-added services, and are motivated by delivering commercial results.

As a Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new merchants with annual card turnover of up to £2.5million.

You’ll be part of a team trusted to:

  • Sell a multi-product payments proposition
  • Deliver consistent net revenue
  • Build long-term, commercially sound customer relationships

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Drive new business growth through self-generated leads, networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation, close and onboarding.
  • Sell a multi-product payments proposition, including card acquiring, POS/EPOS, eCommerce, Pay-by-Link and value-added services.
  • Deliver tailored, consultative solutions that address customer challenges and create measurable commercial value.
  • Develop introducer and partner relationships to generate sustainable, repeatable deal flow.
  • Maintain strong commercial discipline through effective pipeline management, accurate forecasting and consistent achievement of revenue targets.

What it takes to succeed:

We hire accountable, results-focused sales professionals who take pride in delivering real commercial value and are building a team of high-performing individuals who demonstrate:

  • Ambition - You set high standards and consistently push for strong performance
  • Accountability - You take ownership of your results and outcomes
  • Results Focus - You prioritise revenue, margin, and deal quality over volume
  • Commercial Awareness - You understand pricing, value, and how to structure strong deals
  • Collaboration - You work effectively with internal teams to deliver the best outcomes
  • Resilience & Drive - You stay proactive, focused, and solution-oriented

Who this role is for:

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have a successful background in payments, merchant services, acquiring or fintech
  • Understand how to sell commercially rather than simply on price
  • Have experience discussing transaction volumes, pricing structures, processing fees and payment solutions with business owners
  • Are comfortable managing an end-to-end field sales cycle from prospecting through to implementation
  • Have consistently delivered revenue growth in a target-driven environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years' successful field sales experience within payments, merchant services, card acquiring or fintech
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding new business revenue targets
  • Experience selling payment processing, card acquiring, POS/EPOS, eCommerce solutions or other closely related products
  • Demonstrable experience self-generating opportunities through cold prospecting, referrals and partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management and deal structuring
  • Experience selling multi-product or integrated solutions
  • Experience working with introducers or partner-led sales models
  • Full UK driving licence
