Job Introduction
A role has arisen within our Kingston & Wimbledon branch, for a Private Banking Manager. The post holder will be responsible for maintenance and development of a customer portfolio. You will be responsible for winning and onboarding new customers via proactive and focused business development activities as well as maintaining an existing customer base.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance and development of a portfolio of private banking customers, building relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Identifying, meeting and winning prospective new customers/introducers by outlining how we work and what we can offer.
- Demonstrating a sound understanding of the Bank’s Credit Policy and ensuring lending decisions are within the lending discretion awarded by the Branch Manager.
- Interpreting financial information provided by customers, evaluating lending propositions, assessing and formulating risk ratings correctly and structuring transactions.
- Using appropriate Bank systems to complete Credit applications and annual reviews.
- Developing and maintaining a sound understanding of the local market and maintaining relationships with professional firms and introducers.
- Having a demonstrable understanding of Handelsbanken products and a good understanding of competitor products and market trends.
- Communicating succinctly the relevant features, benefits and risks of products on a needs basis.
- General administration, preparation of legal documentation for accounts, personal loans and mortgages, maintaining customer files (including CDD/AML requirements), preparing annual reviews and making payments.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A good understanding of the Bank’s credit processes and personal customer product offering.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Structured work practice and a strong sense of administrative order.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively.
