Job Introduction
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Private Banking Manager to join our Harrogate branch. You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of a customer portfolio and for winning and onboarding new customers via proactive business development activities. You will have full responsibility for all aspects of customer relationships within the portfolio (excluding Regulated Mortgage activity) including preparation of credit applications, customer analysis, annual reviews, documentation completion, covenant compliance and profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of a portfolio of private banking customers, building relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Identifying, meeting and winning prospective new customers or introducers by outlining how we work and what we can offer in terms of service and facilities.
- Demonstrating a sound understanding of, and an ability to work within, the Bank\’s Credit Policy, ensuring lending decisions are within the discretion awarded by the Branch Manager.
- Interpreting financial information provided by customers, evaluating lending propositions, assessing and formulating risk ratings correctly, and structuring transactions.
- Using the appropriate Bank systems to complete credit applications and annual reviews.
- Developing and maintaining a sound understanding of the local market and maintaining relationships with professional firms and introducers.
- Possessing a demonstrable understanding of the products offered by Handelsbanken and a good understanding of competitor products, relevant industry and market-driven trends.
- General administration: preparing legal documentation for accounts, personal loans and mortgages, maintaining customer files (including CDD/AML requirements), preparing annual reviews and making payments.
