Technology Modern Workplace - Intern in City of Westminster

Intern – UK Technology – Modern Workplace (UKTBW). Location – London (potential travel to other office & branch locations). Start date – 29th June. Duration – 10 weeks.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for an intern to join us this summer, working in our UK Technology – Modern Workplace team. During your internship you will be working in a team that is driving towards providing a modern, flexible, effective physical and virtual environment for all colleagues in the UK. There will be a great opportunity for you to get involved in all the various technology initiatives we are currently delivering in the UK. You will work closely with platform owners, digital product owners, project managers, business analysts, platform engineers and various stakeholders across the bank as we look to deliver true business value through new solutions yet to be introduced and enhance those we already have in place. You will gain a greater understanding of what it takes to introduce technical solutions and what “good” looks like in doing so.

Our summer internship programme runs from 29th June to 4th September. We are looking for individuals to commit to the full ten‑week duration of our internship programme. As an intern you will follow a structured programme: real insight into our culture and organisation; opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within banking; and a learning journey that helps you understand the core principles of our business before taking on your own responsibilities that will see you gain hands‑on experience and develop skills for the future in a friendly and supportive environment. You will be assigned a buddy and have regular check‑ins with your line manager. During the programme you will also work with other interns on a business project, giving you the opportunity to further develop teamwork, creative thinking and presentation skills. By the end of the placement you will have delivered work and projects that add value to the bank, developed your skills and have the potential to continue your career with us.
