About the Role
The Food and Beverage Assistant will prepare food and beverage service areas to Hand Picked Hotels standards, ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained.
You will be expected to have a good knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation style, and to recommend items to guests based on their preferences.
The role involves working enthusiastically alongside team members to achieve departmental goals, maintaining a basic knowledge of the wine list and stock, and understanding the principles of food and wine matching.
- Prepare food and beverage service areas to Hand Picked Hotels standards.
- Maintain a good level of knowledge regarding menu items, allergens, and preparation style.
- Offer accurate product descriptions and recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Work enthusiastically alongside team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of the wine list and stock availability.
- Understand basic principles of food and wine matching and grape varieties.
- Be inspired, have fun, and enjoy being part of the Hand Picked team.
About You
- Current base knowledge and experience of food and beverage in a quality-driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities.
- Flexible and able to assist in different areas of the hotel as business and guest needs dictate.
- High level of emotional intelligence, anticipating guest needs to deliver a Hand Picked experience.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver our guest experience standards, going above and beyond to ensure guests have a high-quality, personalised, and memorable experience.
